Lots of news this time:

Apparently, four of my stories will receive Honourable Mentions from Ellen Datlow in The Year's Best Fantasy & Horror 19. The stories are:

  • LIKE A STONE (from Bernie Hermann's Manic Sextet)
  • OUT ON A LIMB (from Acquainted with the Night)
  • NEW SCIENCE (from Nemonymous 4)
  • THE FORGOTTEN PRISONER (from Potter's Field)
The brilliant VINCENT CHONG has just signed contracts to do the cover art for Rough Cut. I'm very excited about this; Vincent did the beautiful cover for Joe Hill's exceptional 20th Century Ghosts collection and his work often appears in The Third Alternative.

I've written the introduction to DARK DOORWAYS, an anthology edited by James Cooper. My story SAVE US ALL also appears in the book, available March/April 2006.

My story ONE NIGHT STAND will appear in the wonderfully titled anthology of extreme horror, Grinderphallus.

My 35,000-word novella ROUGH CUT will be published by PENDRAGON PRESS this summer. The book is a slice of modern horror, but also a love letter to the 1970s British horror film. I'm really proud of it, and delighted to have sold it.
