Dark Pictures

Pictures of the Dark is a brand new collection from my friend Simon Bestwick. The book contains about 100,000 words of Bestwick's fiction, which combines pulp horror sensibilities with social realism to produce something scary, relevant, and often heartbreakingly tragic.
In my opinion, Simon is the real deal, and that's why I agreed to write the introduction to this major retrospective collection of his work. Do yourself a favour and pick up a copy. I can't recommend the book highly enough.

Another Monster Review
Another positive review of How to Make Monsters has surfaced. Dark Wolf's Fantasy Review calls me a "new powerful and scary voice", which is nice.

Please, if you're eligable pop along to the BFS website and vote, even if it's not for me (but I'd prefer if it was): BFSA

New Review
There's a nice new review of "How to Make Monsters" here: SFFE
I'm very pleased with that; the reviewer (Sharon Ring) really seems to get what I was trying to achieve with the book.
