Update

So last weekend was Alt.fiction. This year I went as a punter - nobody asked me to do anything on an official basis, so I was free to drift around at will. I drank a lot, spoke to old friends and made new ones, and generally had a blast.

Monday, still a bit bleary-eyed and struggling to get back into the swing of the day job, I found out that Pretty Little Dead Things has been nominated for a BFS award in the category of Best Novel. I refuse to do anything as sad and desperate as canvassing votes, so I'll just say that the full list of nominees can be found here:

In other news, I'm currently working on a crazy story that I was commissioned to write based on a series of comics; work continues on Silent Voices (the second Concrete Grove novel); and I'm also writing a screenplay.

Novel-wise, The Concrete Grove should be hitting the shops on July 7th and Dead Bad Things is due out from Angry Robot in September. Excited, me? Fuck, yes.

2011 is still being kind to me - which leads me to believe that 2012 will probably kick me in the teeth and run away giggling...
