Halloween Reading

(Photograph by Andy McGeechan)

So the event at Warwick Arts Centre in Coventry last night went really well - amazingly well, actually, with around 80 people turning up to listen to me, Adam Nevill and David Moody do our thing.

First Adam read an excerpt from his latest novel, "Ritual"; then David did a funny and gruesome little zombie story called "Muriel"; and finally I read a spooky, atmospheric tale called "Down" from the latest collection.

The Q&A with genre critic Michael Wilson was concise and interesting (I hope!) and the audience  really got behind what we were doing (I heard a few gasps and even some nervous laughter during the appropriate parts of my story). We had a nice chat with a few interested (and interesting) people after the gig, and the vibe was incredibly positive.

A big thanks to the organisers, and to everyone who came along to see us. We had great fun.
