September 2026

Wow. September already? How the hell did that happen? Tempus fugit, and all that...

Not much to report. I've made a couple of new story sales, been working on some other short stories, and am still trying to make the seemingly disparate strands of a potential novel gel inside my head.

Lovecraft's Brood, edited by Ellen Datlow, has just been published and it contains a reprint of my story Diving Deep. The ToC is terrific; I'm in some fine company.

One of the projects I'm working on is a series of interconnected vignettes under the overall title of On Deepscar Street. Each of the short pieces takes place on the street of the title, narrated by an unnamed taxi driver who cruises along it regularly. I hope to examine societal issues and contemporary ills through the filter of horror fiction. It's a "just for me" project, something I may or may not put on this website as a recurring item.
