Different Skins - Launch at FantasyCon 2009

I'll be a busy boy on September 19th.

As well as taking part in the official signing event for THE MAMMOTH BOOK OF BEST NEW HORROR, my new book Different Skins is finally being launched by Screaming Dreams...

I hope to see you all there. Come up and say hello...buy me a pint. I don't bite unless you want me to.

I've also just heard that advance copies of Hungry Hearts will be available for the weekend. I also hope to organise a reading from the novel, if possible.

Apparitions anthology

My story Proof will appear in the anthology Apparitions, to be published by Mike Kelly's Undertow Books imprint.

I'm very proud of the story. It's one I wrote almost two years ago now, but it marked what I consider a significant step up in terms of both quality and approach. Proof represents a personal milestone in my work. It is - I hope - a subtle, moving ghost story and a meditation on the nature of grief. I want it to make you cry as well as haunt you.

Best New Horror signing event

I'll be attending the signing event for the latest edition of The Mammoth book of Best New Horror, in which my story Through the Gaps appears, at this year's Fantasycon. The event will be held on Saturday 19th September at 3pm, in the main bar.
