All Things Slasher...

This October Dark Scribe Press will publish Butcher Knives Body Counts, a book of essays on slasher films. Included is my essay on Wes Craven's grungy masterpiece The Hills Have Eyes.

Gary,

Going completely off the topic of the impending collection of essays, I recently unearthed Rain Dogs, which I had purchased back when it first came out, but banished to a moving box shortly thereafter. What a fabulous little story, tight and lean. Thanks for the entertainment. Being recently inaugurated to your writing, I'd love to know which of your works you think I should read next?

Many thanks, Scott - much appreciated.

I'd recommend you read my most recent stuff next. It's more readily available, and it represents the current direction my work is going in.

I'm particularly fond of The Harm (TTA Press) and my latest collection, Pieces of Midnight (Ash Tree Press), I consider my best yet. Or if you want some bleak, gory fun you could always pick up my zombie novel Hungry Hearts (Abaddon Books)from your local Waterstones...

Thanks again!
